Day 2 April 29

We arrived in Ucluelet today around 5:30pm. I'm so glad that part of the journey is over! The last hour of windy roads are so crazy, I start to get motion sickness - even though I'm the driver!
We have mostly unpacked, the girls are settled in their beds and I'm about to crash as well. So thankful that I was able to stay alert and not feel too tired while driving, that my neck didn't hurt (while driving from Edmonton to Prince George last week I was in a lot of pain). Thanks so much to those of you praying!

Earlier today we were able to meet with a family who adopted a little girl from the same orphanage as Giselle. Love-Mica was like a big sister to Giselle during their time there, and she came home to her family only a few months before Giselle did. I think Mica felt a lot of responsibility for Giselle, and her mom said she settled down a lot in her talk about Giselle and playing that she was still caring for her, as soon as Giselle was safely home. It was fun for us to see them together again. We met at the beautiful Lynn Canyon Park for a quick walk/visit. The walk was in hopes that they would relax and connect better than in a restaurant setting - and it seemed to work! But the end of it, all the girls were chatting happily. It was so good for my heart to see Ellen (the mom) again as well. She was a great friend and support to me during our long wait.

Finally relaxing and enjoying each other

And this Amara... the girl who has worried about the ferry ride for months!
